Google Play Music and Movies are now available in Iceland, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzgovina – three territories that aren’t served by iTunes, with the latter two not served by Spotify either.
The expansion of its services is an indication of Google’s seriousness about competing in the music services arena, with its presence in the new European territories giving the company a head start on two of its biggest rivals.
Users in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Hungary, Iceland, Macedonia, Malta, Slovenia, Taiwan, and Ukraine can now access Google Play Movies.
A complete list of new countries that can access the Google Play music store has also been unveiled and includes Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Romania, and Slovenia.
